Paper submission guide

The official languages of the conference is English and Russian. All kinds of submissions can be provided in either English or Russian.

Papers of any category should be presented in pdf. Final version of a paper should be in strict conformance with the LNCS Word or Latex format (http://preview.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines).

Categories of admissible contributions:

  • extended abstracts (up to 4 pages);
  • regular papers reflecting original scientific results (up to 15 pages);
  • demos (up to 15 pages);
  • PhD workshop submissions (up to 12 pages).

Note that in CEUR volume 5-9 pages papers will be marked as short, only papers with at least 10 pages are considered as full papers.

For reviewing the papers of any category should be uploaded to the CMT site (https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/DAMDID2020/). Beforehand it is required to be registered at this site. During a paper uploading to this site, it is required to select CMT track to which this paper corresponds:

  • DAMDID Conference (for all paper categories besides those for the PhD workshop);
  • DAMDID PhD Workshop (for the PhD workshop papers).

When uploading a paper to the CMT site it is required also to indicate the paper category (as above) and to what track (tracks) of the conference topics given in the CfP the paper belongs. On the paper uploading the CMT suggests the titles of such tracks as the subject areas. One name should be chosen as the main track, as well as several names might be chosen as the secondary tracks.

Author's actions during interactions with CMT:

  1. Enters paper's title, abstract, uploads file(s), specifies conflicts of interest with Program Committee members, and answers questions (configured by program chair).
  2. Marks which conference subject areas (configured by program chair) the paper addresses
  3. Enters his/her contact information.
  4. Enters co-author information.
  5. Receives confirmation screen which includes a paper ID and the size of the file uploaded.
  6. Receives notification email for acceptance or rejection (when review process is over).
  7. Uploads revised version of the paper.
  8. Receives notification email for acceptance or rejection of revised version (when review process is over).
  9. Uploads camera ready version for accepted papers.
  10. Uploads presentations (slide decks) for accepted papers

Conferences DAMDID/RCDL hold face to face. Acceptance of a paper by the Program Committee assumes mandatory registration at the conference site (should be done before the camera ready submission deadline) and participation of at least one of the authors at the conference and personal presentation of this work.

Camera ready texts of the papers taking into account all reviewer remarks should be uploaded also to the CMT site before the deadline.

CEUR-WS.org now offers a model to publish data sets and similar material together with paper.

To take advantage of that, a paper submitted for the DAMDID/RCDL'2020 Conference may be accompanied by a data set used for experiments and/or illustrations of the proposed methods. The data set may also contain results of the work. The data set should be represented as a zip-archive. The total size of the paper accompanied by the dataset archive should not exceed 10MB. The dataset archive should be submitted to the CMT system as an additional file. The data set together with the paper is published in the electronic version of the conference proceedings under the CC-BY 4.0 license. A human-readable copy of the CC-BY 4.0 license should be included in the zip-archive of each data set. There should also be a file like AUTHOR.txt in the zip-archive to specify the authors of the data set (usually the authors of the paper). If the paper is decided to be published in the CEUR Workshop Proceedings, the data set archive is also published there.
